Teenagers:

Ever since I was a child I haven't heard anything but negative points of adolescence coming especially from adults. But, why is that so? Why do adults think so negatively of teenagers?

By way of introduction, I'd like to say that I've seen all kinds of teenagers: mature, childish, responsible and lost ones. First and foremost, people may say that we are all lazy and demotivated, that we only like partying, drinking and taking drugs. It is true that it's becoming quite normal drinking and taking drugs as a way of coping with life, but isn't that alarming?
On the one hand there are teenagers whose only purpose in life is having a good time and spending their money on useless things. Notwithstanding that, most of us cannot aspire to a good job or a good life because rich people are the ones who get to know what success is, and only a few lucky poors. Because we are so sensitive that we cannot stand watching what is happening in the news. "The offended generation" is what some call us, but, at least, we care about discriminated collectives and how racist, homophobic or sexist jokes feel to them.

To sum up, we are glad to be the offended generation, because if offended means caring and empathetic, yes, we are that, and we are going to keep fighting against injustice so when we become adults, teenagers at that time can enjoy life in its fullness instead of trying to fix society.
